Restoring Confidence With Technology in Sacramento
TechEase was created around a simple observation:
Most technology frustration isn’t about intelligence. It’s about confidence.
Seniors are often rushed through explanations, overwhelmed with jargon, or made to feel like they should “already know this.”
That approach creates hesitation. Avoidance. Anxiety.
We exist to change that.
Our Philosophy
We believe:
Technology should feel empowering, not overwhelming.
Questions deserve patience.
Learning should never involve shame.
Confidence grows when instruction slows down.
This is very common.
You’re not doing anything wrong.
Let’s slow it down.

Our Why
TechEase began with a simple idea: technology should make life easier, not more stressful.
For Serena, that realization came from her parents. During visits with her 81-year-old father, she often found herself working through a list of tech tasks — fixing the printer, enlarging text on his phone, and troubleshooting Zoom calls. Though he was pretty tech-savvy, his eyesight wasn’t what it used to be, and small frustrations could quickly pile up. At the same time, Serena helped her mother, who has dementia, learn to use a tablet so she could FaceTime her family and stay connected. Those moments showed Serena that many families face similar challenges and that what people really need is patient, compassionate tech help from someone who genuinely cares.
Around the same time, Jeff, a seasoned digital sales and marketing strategist, process engineer, and coach, had spent his career helping organizations harness technology to grow and communicate better. But for all his technical expertise, he was now seeing the other side of technology’s challenges up close.
Jeff’s mother had recently moved from her long-time home into an independent living facility more than 2,000 miles away. Setting up her devices, Wi-Fi, and streaming services in her new space became a real struggle — and Jeff couldn’t be there in person to help. He saw firsthand how isolating and frustrating technology can feel when you don’t have someone patient and trustworthy by your side.
That shared understanding is what brought Serena and Jeff together to create TechEase — a company built on empathy, experience, and a genuine desire to help. Serena brings the heart and inspiration drawn from her family, and Jeff brings decades of digital expertise and a teacher’s instinct for making technology approachable.
Our mission is simple: to make technology less confusing and more empowering for everyone, especially older adults who want to stay connected, independent, and confident in our digital world.
At TechEase, every visit, setup, and training session is guided by the belief that technology should connect us, not frustrate us. With patience, kindness, and understanding, Serena and Jeff are helping people feel at ease with technology — one person at a time.
